Purple Palette Patch for All Carmageddon Needs by QTZ.

In Carmageddon, color indexed as 0 is transparent. In default palettes is set to black or white.
This cause problems in graphics editing - unexpected holes and colors merge.

This patch set transparent colors (for all palettes) to Purple
also set black to unique. All changes match Stainlees palettes used elsewhere.
Also backups (*.bak) of original execs are created (if no backup is present).

Note: All palettes were checked for duplicated colors, also all patches here, set exactly the same palettes.

Using "purple" execs will help from creating unexpected holes, allow to easy spot deffective custom textures.
Export bitmaps with purple palettes, prevent of same colors merge
- for example MS Paint can be used without any additional palette patching - saved images are not corrupted.

This is not recommended to use original exec anymore!

This patch is valid for Carmageddon, Splat Pack and all known pix/fli tools (latest public available versions).

*** Carmageddon and Splat Pack

Note: Menu palette used in game have color 15 set to black,
same as is set for color 255, so in game both are visible as pure black.
Here set to 8,8,8 (little lighter black) as Stainless used elsewhere
This prevent colors to be merged during edition.
Transparent-invisible color is set to purple there too.

To fix this: Copy included palettes (DATA directory) to game

*** Carmageditor
Copy PAL files (DATA directory) to game - it will use it automatically.

*** PIX Editor
Copy PAL files (DATA directory) to game - it will use it automatically.
Note: Exec contains palette, but it's only used for displaying about picture (no need to patch).

*** Pedestrian Editor (PedEdit)
Copy PAL files (DATA directory) to game - it will use it automatically.
Export work fine, however preview still have black background :(
(it using DRRENDER.PAL form game directory, but color 0 is fixed to black)
Note: This tool calculate frame size by half value not full (real) value...
this may cause some custom pixelmaps to be readed wrong and corrupted after edition...

*** PlayThing 1/2
Copy PAL files to program PALETTES directory.

*** Texconv (from I-War Texture kit)
Note: Texconv crash without DOS Box.
Use included PAL files - for more detail read Texconv documentation.

*** CarmagEdit v1.1 (v1.0 is also supported but it is recommended to use v1.1)
Note CarmagEdit use 2 sets of palettes - one for display/import/export and second for painting.

1. Install/extract CarmagEdit (v1.1 is recommended!)
2. Copy all included files (except for DATA directory) to CarmagEdit directory
2a. You may also copy PAL files (DATA directory) to game
3. Run GoPurple.bat (say no to backup)

*** PixTractor v1.0
Use same method as for CarmagEdit (of course extract pixtractor there ;))
Note: It also revert changes made by author (different palette patch).

*** TRixx 1.0 (2012 edition with C1 support)
Warning: It can delete all pix files from path where is launched!
For example running from root may delete all pix files on entire HD!
Note: TRixx require .net to be installed.
TRixx by default use only race palette, so TRixxMnu is also created for menu palette.
Use same method as for CarmagEdit (of course extract TRixx there ;))

*** PixToTga 1.0/1.1
Use same method as for CarmagEdit (of course extract pixtotga there ;))
Note: It also modify color set by author. Source code is not updated from DOS version of PPP.
Since backup is created once in case of upgrade it may stay from previous version.
