Carmagedit for Mac
Patched to purple palette by QTZ.

In Carmageddon, color indexed as 0 is transparent.
In default palettes is set to black or white.
This cause problems in graphics editing - unexpected holes and colors merge.

Here transparent colors (for two palettes*) are set to Purple, also black is set to unique.
All changes match Stainlees palettes used elsewhere.

*Note: CarmagEdit for Mac use one palette for menu and 2 for race,
but second look like is only used as program interface palette, so not patched
(also last color of first race palette is not touched)
Known bug: in certain situations system color may change to purple... but this in not a big problem.
Note: palettes were checked for duplicated colors, also all changes here are exactly the same as made for PC version.

Using purple version will help from creating unexpected holes, allow to easy spot deffective custom textures.
Export with purple palette, prevent of same colors merge.

This is not recommended to use original version anymore!

This editor can edit Carmageddon and some Splat Pack graphics files.

There are also pal files included for Carmageddon and Splat Pack
You may copy those palettes (DRRENDER.PAL and DRACEFLC.PAL) to game
CARMAGEDDON\DATA\REG\PALETTES\

(not required, since there is no other editor which may use this - changes are almost invisible in game).

Note: menu palette used in game have color 15 set to black,
same as is set for color 255, so in game both are visible as pure black.
Here set to 8,8,8 (little lighter black) as Stainless used elsewhere
This prevent colors to be merged during edition.
Transparent-invisible color is set to purple there too.
